Chaplaincy

A Protestant chaplain works regularly at both the day centres and the accommodation centre. His approach is based on listening and dialogue thus allowing him to help those who need it to find ways of talking about their faith, whatever that may be.

The chaplaincy responds to demand and is a service which :

- Allows dialogue about spiritual questions and needs,
- Points people in the right direction for faith-related matters,
- Offers one-to-one interviews and prayer.

This service refers to an aspect of human beings which must be respected and taken into account. So the ABEJ offers this service as do many other State departments or private and lay bodies (prisons, hospitals, armies, schools, Orly airport, the Gare de Perrache in Lyons, etc.)
